Our approach
Community Aquatics n’ Occupational Engagement’s (CANOE)® approach to occupational therapy may differ from the norm. Our job is to help you & your family get more tools in your toolbox so that you can do all the activities you need, want, or have to do in a day done! Our job is not to “fix” you, but to meet you where you’re at and work on skills or adaptations that YOU want to participate in you daily life. We also encourage challenging the “glass ceiling” in the disability community!
In-person & remote options available
Currently CANOE® services areas all over Denver and suburbia! We have clients that come from Conifer, Castle Rock, Thornton, Denver, Lakewood, Littleton, Englewood, Aurora, and Parker. Depending on service type, virtual services can be available!
You can travel to our locations for outpatient or aquatic therapy services at, Our Outpatient Clinic (285&Wadsworth), Sensory Club Denver (Englewood), Englewood Recreation (Englewood), and Ridge Recreation Center (Littleton).

Outpatient Occupational Therapy Services
CANOE® offers occupational therapy services to people ages 2mo-26years old (Older than 26yrs, that's great! We take adults too so don’t worry! Chat with us and we'll see if its a good fit!) Currently being offered in person in the state of Colorado, and remote options available in the states of Colorado & Michigan. See about tab for more info!
Aquatic Therapy & Learn-To-Swim
CANOE® offers aquatic therapy & learn to swim classes under outpatient therapy services. We are a licensed trained provider with the American Red Cross for learn-to-swim and water safety lessons. Aquatic therapy is a unique service that offers a blend of occupation therapy and learn to swim. Dual services is an option here, you do not have to choose between aquatic therapy OR learn to swim, why not both?!?! Offered in the state of Colorado.
Home Modification Evaluations
A one time appointment and evaluation for those with disabilities needing to change their home for medical reasons, safety reasons, sensory reasons, and more!
CANOE is a Licensed Training Provider of the American Red Cross, independently authorized to deliver Red Cross training and certification courses. As an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor™ and Learn-to-Swim Provider, we are committed to preparing confident instructors and swimmers with essential water safety skills.
