July 2024 - “We cannot say enough about Holly and CANOE. If you don't read on just know this: you should work with her! She is amazing. She has been working with our son since before 1 year old. Beyond the normal aquatic therapies (of which she is on the cutting edge and SOOO knowledgeable), she is always teaching me and him some much about all of his development - movement, skills, things she is noticing, changes we might make at home, etc, etc.. While we are in the pool, she is noting things he is or could be doing and suggesting things we might adjust outside of the pool to help him. While she gives detailed notes that are very helpful from each session we do with her, I am always coming away with 4-8 new things I can do with my son outside of the water, and coming away so much more knowledgeable. You can just tell that Holly cares so much about our and all the kids she works with (she lovingly mentions her work with others with a smile). Again... work with her - you will not be disappointed.”

September 2023 - CANOE is fantastic. Holly is amazing in the water and out. My grandson loves the water and is very much a risk taker. No concept of water safety. He needed to learn the skills for his safety. Holly teaching him. Practice and reminders each session my grandson has learned skills to help keep him safe in water. We are going to sign up for more sessions and hone those skills.

July 4, 2022 - In the spring of 2021, my daughter was struggling on so many levels as were many teens due to the pandemic that had rocked everyone’s world. My daughter is highly intelligent and we had just discovered that she has areas of deficits, extra needs. Since my daughter was nearing the end of her junior year, I knew there wasn’t much time before she’d be graduating and heading into the adult world. When I first heard about Holly Ross, OT with Building Blocks OT, I was excited to learn she helps teens transition from high school to adult life among many other things. My daughter was never open to any type of professional help but after meeting with Holly Ross a couple times, she agreed to continue working with her. I was so impressed that Holly was able to build rapport and trust with my daughter so quickly. Fast forward 15 months and my daughter continues to meet with Holly on a weekly basis. Holly has worked with my daughter on so many skills including a variety of executive functioning skills and vision therapy to name a few. Over this time, I have been beyond impressed and grateful for Holly’s knowledge, professionalism, compassion, communication, reliability, confidentiality, adaptability, friendliness and dedication to my daughter’s health and well-being. Holly has gone over and above numerous times. It’s clear she has a high standard of care and is truly committed to her clients. When I need to contact Holly, she is always quick to respond and willing to answer any questions I have. The best testimonial is the fact that my daughter, who refused absolutely any kind of therapy or professional help for a couple years, agreed to and continues to work with Holly Ross, OT. That’s huge! My daughter trusts Holly and the work they do together. Holly Ross is truly an exceptional occupational therapist and I am incredibly grateful for her knowledge, support, encouragement and care.

"Holly Ross has been a tremendous asset in helping me with my seven year old son's behavior issues. He was showing signs of aggression, violent behavior, and defiance. She offered practical solutions that I could put into place immediately. I have seen dramatic improvement with the undesired behaviors decreasing in intensity, duration, and frequency with the strategies that were given to me. Holly is very professional and gives 110%. I highly recommend Holly and am grateful to have her expertise to help my family. "

"Holly has been my 10 year old son OT for two years now. He was diagnosed with intellectual disability when he was 6. Since then he was also diagnosed with ADHD and Tourette’s syndrome. As a parent it is hard to wrap your head around all of it. Having Holly apart of this experience has changed our lives. She has went above and beyond helping us understand behaviors, teaching us what is Tourette’s, and helping us manage the behaviors. She also has helped him explore food because he is a very picky eater. She is also helping my son learn how to play and interact with others through board games, card games, and science experiments. Holly has also helped him with a bed time routine. She had helped him with showering on his own. She has helped me find balance with limiting video games and screen time with both my children. Since May of this year she started to see my 9 year old son. She has been great at meeting his needs as well as they are different from my oldest sons needs. If you are searching for a therapist that is going to not only help your child but your entire family, that is professional, that truly cares and is patient then you have found her right here. Thank you Holly for everything you have done for my family we appreciate you!"

"Holly is an incredible OT!!!! She is super knowledgeable and has a wide array of tools in her toolbox. Her communication is top-notch and is readily available to discuss matters or answer questions. She connects with my boys really well and they have really grown to enjoy their sessions. In the past, they have typically complained about OT with other therapists. You can tell she is really passionate about what she does and always goes above and beyond the call of duty. She's also a kind, compassionate, cool person. We feel very fortunate to have Holly as our boys' OT. She is a gem!!!"

I’ve been seeing Holly for a little under a year now and it’s been great! She has so much useful experience and training, it’s hard to believe that there are a few things she does not know or can’t find a way to learn about!! I’ve only had sessions online and she has done an amazing job at working with me without being able to do so physically. Holly’s instructions are clear and thoughtful and if my joints are put in an uncomfortable position she makes adaptations that make my exercises more accessible to me, which is #1! She has also told me to take better care of my body when I am trying to work through pain and does not overwhelm or stress me. Holly does not make me feel bad about missing exercise and will simply make up for it during session. Holly is obviously very knowledgeable on anatomy and muscle structure and is able to position me without being able to see me well on camera, it’s pretty amazing and I am so thankful to be able to work with someone who I genuinely believe has my health in her best interest.

“I have known Holly for many years and can say that she is truly one of a kind in this field! I worked along side her for several years and saw the results she produced as an OT and the assistance, resources and compassion she provided to patients. I also had her give my 4 year old son swimming lessons and he was not only confident and safe in the water, but also swimming across the pool after just 3 lessons with the knowledge and skills she taught him! I would highly highly recommend Holly for any OT/swimming needs!”

“Holly has been an absolute amazing addition to our family! We have known her for several years now. We have a eight year old son with a severe and rare catastrophic form of epilepsy known as Lennox Gastaut Syndrome as well as Autism. He has had well over 15,000 seizures in five years and is definitely unpredictable in many of ways. Holly has been the absolute best as far as working with us to coordinate a time and a schedule that works best for Bradley. She has gone above and beyond to help customize therapy sessions, establish equipment and events to whatever Bradley’s day has brought forth. She has taken the time out of her evenings to add letters of recommendation, work on extra equipment letters, and just to check in to see how Bradley is doing! We could not ask for a better therapist!! We are eager to start swimming therapy with Bradley soon! As he is already doing so well with OT and with Holly‘s guidance I know that his swimming classes will be a great therapeutic resource for him! If you are looking for a therapist, or a swim instructor, you absolutely need to look no further! Holly Ross is by far the best there is!! We look forward to working with her many years from now and continuing to build skills for our sweet boy with her by our side! Thank you Holly for being such a joy to work with!”
